OREANDA-NEWS. On 18 March 2009 UC RUSAL, the world’s largest aluminium and alumina producer, announced the appointment of Mikhail Erenburg as the Executive Director of the Company. Prior to this new appointment, Mr. Erenburg held the post of the Director of the Aluminium Division.

The executive director’s position has been introduced as part of the Company’s programme for enhancing the competitiveness of the business in order to create an optimal production management model which meets the new economic conditions. Among other responsibilities, the executive director is in charge of establishing a single centre for the coordination of the activities of the Company’s product divisions, control and analysis of their performance and development of business plan execution models.

Alexey Arnautov, who formerly was the Aluminium Division’s financial director, will now be its acting head.
