OREANDA-NEWS. On 18 March 2009 was announced, that the Bratsk Branch of Ilim-Garant Charity Fund (Ilim Group's social investment partner) had successfully completed its 2008 Charity and Social Partnership Plan. RUR 27.2 million was earmarked for these purposes. The most comprehensive project of the Fund's Bratsk Branch is the aid for veterans and retired employees of the Bratsk Branch of Ilim Group (the former Bratsk Forest Industrial Complex). Over RUR 8.6 million was spent to implement this project. Year 2008 also saw the traditional assistance program for Padunskiy Orphanage. The Fund's Branch allocated money to purchase furniture and New Year gifts. The program of cooperation with City Hospital No. 5 included renovation of the Hospital premises and purchase of medical and lab equipment. Another RUR 5 million was allocated to support Children's Sports Center and arrange kids' sports competitions, approximately half of this amount being used to prepare the soccer field of Locomotive Stadium in Osinovka residential community. The project was carried out jointly with the City Administration. Current projects of Ilim Garant Charity Fund in Bratsk and Bratsk District include proceeding with the construction of the cultural and educational center and completion of the community cultural center in Ozerniy. A traffic rules training center for kids will also open in Bratsk in 2009 with support from the Fund. RUR 1 million was allocated to purchase the required equipment for the center.
