OREANDA-NEWS. March 16, 2009.  In February, external assets of the Bank of Lithuania decreased by LTL 338.8 million to form LTL 14.5 billion at the end of the month, and external liabilities went down by LTL 252.7 million to LTL 104.2 million, reported the press-centre of Bank of Lithuania.

Currency in circulation dropped down by LTL 130.0 million to LTL 9.0 billion at the end of the month. Resident deposits with the Bank of Lithuania decreased by LTL 3.9 million to LTL 3.7 billion. Central government deposits went down by LTL 199.1 million to LTL 978.4 million at the end of the moth, while deposits of other MFIs increased by LTL 197.4 million to form LTL 2.7 billion at the end of February.

Changes in the balance sheet items of the Bank of Lithuania have been disclosed taking into account transactions, i.e. by eliminating the effect of revaluation adjustments of prices and foreign exchange rates as well as other reclassifications.
