OREANDA-NEWS. On March 12, 2009 According to press office of TNK-BP, the Company’s investment in development of Kamennoe field (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area) will total roughly US700 M in 2009—2013. Addition of reserves (per the SEC methodology) over the said period is forecasted to be in the vicinity of 200 M barr, which means they will double, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.
Crude production at Kamennoe totaled 1.3 M tons in 2008, and in 2009 it is expected to reach the level of 1.8 M tons. By 2012, when the peak oil rate is expected, crude production may total 4.2 M barr per annum. "TNK-BP pursues the concept of “Oilfield of the Future” at Kamennoe. This means complete automation of production processes. Such approach helps reduce the need for maintenance staff and decrease operational expenditure.
All facilities are equipped with remote control and regulation systems with wireless access as well as emergency shutdown systems. As a result, over the last two years staff headcount per unit was reduced in half’ — said the press officer we talked to.
