OREANDA-NEWS. On 13 March 2009 the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic informs that in accordance with articles 4, 15, 16 and 18 of Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic” and Regulation of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic’s Board "On issue of banknote 5000 Som” №7/1 from 11 February, 2009 the banknote of 5000 Som denomination is issued from 2  Marth, 2009 at the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The banknote of 5000 Som denomination has original design and improved security features of last generation.

The portrait of outstanding Kyrgyz actor and artist Suymonkul Chokmorov is situated at the front side of the banknote. Picture of “Ala-Too”, one of the oldest movie theatre of the capital is historical and architectural sight place. It is situated at the back side of the banknote.

The banknote of 5000 Som denomination has an official legal tender at the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic and is subject of obligatory receiption as means of payment.
