OREANDA-NEWS. On 13 March 2009 was announced, that within the framework of the First Slavic Economic Forum a meeting was held in Bryansk between Governor of the Bryansk Region Nikolai Denin and Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of SOGAZ Insurance Group Alexei Leonenko. The meeting resulted in a cooperation agreement signed by the regional administration and SOGAZ.

The document provides for SOGAZ’s participation (alongside with other insurers) in solving the problems of integrated social and economic development of the region, enhancing the social security system for households and economic entities, as well as developing the medical service and insurance system for the region’s population.

According to Alexei Leonenko, the Group plans to focus special attention on insuring agricultural risks, particularly within the framework of the state support programs for agro-industrial businesses, as well as improving the quality of medical services provided under compulsory medical insurance programs to the region’s households, including the jobless. SOGAZ Insurance Group also intends to render its dynamic assistance in providing insurance protection for major investment projects and state investment programs.

“SOGAZ Insurance Group is steadily developing its affiliate network, which makes it possible not only to strengthen the Group’s regional presence, but also to create a considerable number of new jobs. Amid current economic hardships the matters of business’s social responsibility are indeed becoming especially vital”, reported Alexei Leonenko.

SOGAZ’s customers include a number of the region’s largest businesses, in particular, OJSC Bryanskoblgaz, CJSC Bryansk Terminal М, CJSC Bryansknefteproduct, LLC Bryanskregiongaz, to name just a few.

As of today, SOGAZ Insurance Group has concluded a total of 11 agreements with the administrations of the constituents of the Russian Federation.
