Transaero Airlines Improves Domestic Network
OREANDA-NEWS. On 12 March 2009 Transaero Airlines announced a new long haul route to the Far East with the launch of the Moscow Domodedovo — Magadan route. This addition to Transaero’s domestic flight network is the 13th destination in Transaero’s current schedule.
“The addition of Magadan to our route network marks another very important step in the realization of Transaero’s domestic network expansion planned for 2009,” said Transaero Airlines’ General Director Olga Pleshakova. “We have already added Moscow – Ufa and Moscow – Samara flights this year and on March 30 we plan to launch services between Moscow and Kazan.”
The new flight, designated UN159/160 Moscow — Magadan — Moscow, is operated twice weekly on Tupolev 214 aircraft with 8 Business class and 176 Economy class seats. The flight schedule is as follows:
UN159: Departure from Moscow every Sunday and Wednesday at 8:20 pm. Arrival in Magadan at 12:30 pm local time the following day;
UN160: Departure from Magadan every Monday and Thursday at 3.00 pm. Arrival in Moscow at 4.00 pm local time.
Upon arrival, passengers on flights from Magadan can make use of Transaero Airlines’ convenient transfer facilities in Moscow Domodedovo International Airport, including those to international destinations.
Transaero Airlines pays close attention to flights connecting Moscow and the cities of the Russian Far East such as Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Anadyr and now Magadan. Transaero’s outstanding passenger service and reasonable fares to these destinations clearly factored in the 77% increase in passenger volume this January over the same period for 2008.
