OREANDA-NEWS. On 12 March 2009 was announced, that Azbuka Vkusa premium retail chain is to open two supermarkets in 6 months to come, Sergey Rusov, the company’s development manager, said at the XII summit of owners Retail in Russia.

According to the official, one of them will open at Novorizhskoe Highway in Moscow by May 1.

Mr Rusov added that Azbuka Vkusa had no downturn in sales volume within the first two months of 2009, compared to the same period in 2008.

Azbuka Vkusa supermarket chain is developed by LLC Gorodskoy Supermarket retail company established in 1997. The chain includes 25 supermarkets located in Moscow and the Moscow region. The 2007 annual income of Azbuka Vkusa exceeded USD 330 million.
