OREANDA-NEWS. March 11, 2009. According to the preliminary data for the year 2008, ROSNO’s North-Western Directorate paid about 70 million roubles in St. Petersburg to the clients whose cars had been covered under MOD insurance contracts against the risk of car theft, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.

The company’s experts note that, as compared to the year 2007, the list of the most frequently stolen cars has slightly changed. In particular, such vehicles as Toyota Corolla, Toyota Avensis and Lexus RX were stolen somewhat less often in 2008 than in 2007.

Among the largest payments made by North-Western Directorate this year is the insurance compensation of 976,000 roubles paid for the stolen Mitsubishi Outlander.
