OREANDA-NEWS. On 10 March 2009 was announced, that experts of the ministry of economic development of Murmansk area continue to conduct operative monitoring of a social and economic situation. Data are generalised weekly and are represented on sessions of working group on operative monitoring of a social and economic situation in Murmansk area, the anti-recessionary commission of the regional government, and also regularly go to the federal centre, in the profile ministries.

According to Management of public service of employment of the population on Murmansk area, for March, 3rd, 2009 number of the unemployed has made 14963 persons (for February, 1st there were 13178 persons). Level of registered unemployment (to economically active population) has made 3 %.

Number of the workers assumed to dismissal in connection with staff reduction, liquidation, according to the enterprises, has made 1998 persons.

Number of workers which were in holiday without wages preservation, for March, 3rd makes 128 persons. Those who are in idle time because of the employer, – 305.

Most of all vacancies from 4757 available in area can give in Murmansk (2944), the Kola area (526), Severomorsk (368), Kandalaksha (240), Pechengsky area (171). According to the enterprises and the area organisations where reduction of number of workers is supposed, 579 persons will be employed, 1248 will address in employment service.
