OREANDA-NEWS. On 10 March 2009 was announced, that on official opening ceremony of the IXth Karelia Touristskaya - 2009 republic's specialized exhibition was held in the Palace of creativity of children and youth in Petrozavodsk.

Having already become a traditional and important event in life of the republic, the Karelia Touristskaya exhibition promotes the most complete representation of tourist potential of our land, invigoration of positive image of the Republic of Karelia as the leading Russian and international travel center.

This year about 70 exhibitors from Karelia, St.-Petersburg, Moscow and Anapa participate in the exhibition. The exhibition will present the most complete information on municipal formations, travel agencies and hotel enterprises, country clubs and guest houses, national parks and museums, scientific and educational establishments of the Republic of Karelia.

Distinctive feature of this Karelia Touristskaya exhibition, the main event of its business program, is discussion of efficiency increasing of the travel industry enterprises' operation amid the financial crisis.

Business program of the exhibition also stipulates a seminar on the subject of increasing of the travel industry enterprises' operation amid the financial crisis, a round table discussion concerning development of rural tourism in the Republic of Karelia, experts' consulting, advertising tours. Representatives of the Provincial government of Oulu (Finland) will take part in the Safety in Tourism seminar.
