OREANDA-NEWS. On 10 March 2009 was announced, that regular flights from Kostomuksha through Petrozavodsk to Pulkovo (St.Petersburg) will begin in March, Director General of the Airport Petrozavodsk Oleg Strepkov has informed.

As he said, flights to Cherepovets (Vologda region) and Helsinki (Finland) will renew in a short time. Direct flights to Moscow are also planned. Planes will cruise four times a week. Besides, air communication from Petrozavodsk to Arkhangelsk and Solovetskie Islands will be organized in summer.

To organize regular air communication from the airport of Petrozavodsk, it is planned to install modern light-signal equipment there. It will allow the enterprise to work day and night and all year round. For design, production and installation of such equipment the federal budget is appropriating 90 million roubles.
