OREANDA-NEWS. On 10 March 2009 was announced, that in mid-February 2009, Moscow hosted the XVI International Exhibition of Foodstuffs and Food Raw Materials ProdExpo. More than 1,200 people from all parts of Russia took part in the event. PAVA was represented by Oleg Linker, Chief Sales Director of the Confectionery Department.

PAVA, a major Russian grain processor, incorporates a confectionery enterprise Zauralsky Kreker. Today, this enterprise produces a few dozens of cracker varieties, sugar cookies and biscuits.

The visit to the fair had several goals. First of all, it was meeting and talks with companies from fat-and-oil, flavourings and food ingredients sectors; studying their commercial offers. Secondly - conducting negotiations with a number of Moscow and Moscow region trading houses on potential co-operation and promotion of Zauralsky Kreker products. Thirdly, collecting information on confectionery equipment: shortbread cookie depositors, icing equipment, sandwich machines for production of cookies with diverse fillings.

During a few days of the exhibition, Zauralsky Kreker conducted business negotiations with a number of prospective partners. Following the results of meetings with confectionery ingredients and equipment manufacturers, business offers were drawn up regarding product range enhancement, launching new varieties of cookies. In the nearest future, after a comprehensive analysis of the offers, the company will make a decision on the equipment purchases and contracts with producers of confectionery ingredients.
