OREANDA-NEWS. On 10 March 2009 was announced, that in order to provide reliable functioning of IDGC of Centre, JSC grid system during the holidays from 7 to 9 March, 2009, power workers worked in the mode of increased readiness.

The company has drawn up a chart of duty of responsible people, approved the members of rescue and recovery teams, teams on elimination of breaks in facilities and transmission lines and developped a strict system of notification of accident blackouts.

The branches organised control over operation of equipment of substations and power transmission lines and took special measures on fire safety. For emergency situations the teams were equipped with necessary tools, materials and vehicles.

A special control was set up over operation of the equipment of electric substations and networks that provide power supply of socially important facilities and vital and national security infrastructure. The enterprises checked functioning of the security alarm system, tightened control over operation of the duty service, especially at night time; these measures must eliminate all cases of trespassing at secured facilities. Power workers are doing their best to make a bright holiday mood for the inhabitants of eleven regions of the company’s footprint.
