OREANDA-NEWS. March 06, 2009. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia), governed by Part 1 Article 46 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition", took a break in investigation of the case against the Ministry of Education of Science of the Russian Federation and the Federal Agency for Education.

On 31st December 2008, the Antimonopoly Service initiated a case against the Ministry of Education of Science and the Federal Agency for Education. FAS Russia suspected that the Agencies violated Part 3 Article 15 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition".

"Interobrazovanie" Federal State Institution was assigned the functions for confirming state-recognized certificates on education, academic degrees and ranks, placing Apostille on such documents, as well as recognizing and legalization for foreign documents on education, academic degrees and ranks, and issuing relevant certificates.
