OREANDA-NEWS. March 6, 2009. Energoatom Concern OJSC has received 80mln RUR as compensation under a property insurance contract as a result of an insured event at Novovoronezh Nuclear Power Plant. 

The insulation coil of the stator of the turbine generator of the plant’s 5th unit broke down on Aug 2 2007 because of manufacturing defects.

Energoatom Concern collected necessary documents and applied to insurance companies for compensation worth 80mln RUR.

The insurers under the contract are SOGAZ OJSC and Rosgosstrakh OJSC. The payment has been arranged by Nuclear Insurance Broker OJSC.
