OJSC N.W.T Opened Virtual Board of Honour
OREANDA-NEWS. March 6, 2009. A virtual Board of Honour of OJSC North-West Telecom has been opened on OJSC N.W. Telecom's Intra- corporate information and analytical portal Topics of the Day. The virtual Board of Honour has replaced the traditional Boards of Honour, on which information on the best workers and their photos were placed. The new form of public recognition of the best employees of the Company has its undoubtful advantages – unlike the traditional Boards of Honour that could be seen by a limited number of employees, the virtual version is accessible to all employees of the Company whose workplaces have computer s and access to the information and analytical portal. Besides, the electronic form makes it possible to place on the Board of Honour as much information on the employee and his/her professional achievement s as possible and to quickly update it, if necessary.
To be placed on the virtual Board of Honour of OJSC N.W.Telecom, an employee must at least:
- have been of the state, of the department or of the Company;
- have particular merits in the professional activities for the recent 2 years;
- be a disciplined worker;
- show special activity in the public work of the Company and be held in respect among the colleagues .
Today 50 best employees from the branches and the General Directorate are on the virtual Board of Honour of our Company. Information is placed for one calendar year and then it will be stored in the archives of the virtual Board of Honour of OJSC N.W.Telecom , and the employees will keep respective certificates (documents will be sent to the branches soon). In the future the information will be updated once a year – during the period from 25th October till 31st October – on the eve of the Company's birthday.
Candidates for the Board of Honour are approved by special commissions at the level of the branches and the General Directorate. Commissions of the branches, consisting of representatives of personnel departments, public relations services, security departments and elected bodies of the primary trade union organization, will consider applications in an arbitrary form and testimonials on the candidates from managers of respective functional units. The commission of the General Directorate considers and approves candidates from the General Directorate and approves candidacies from the branches on the basis of applications from regional directors – directors of the branches.
