OREANDA-NEWS. March 6, 2009. The regional Youth Committee has held a seminar “Training of Specialists and Organization of Information Work”.

The seminar took place in the conference hall of the Central Committee of the Russian Trade Union of Nuclear Workers (RTUNW) on Mar 4 2009. The key topics of the seminar were training of young activists who directly work with information and coordination of the information flows of youth organizations.

The chairman of the RTUNW I.Fomichev formulated the key tasks of the youth organizations of the nuclear industry. The secretary of the RTUNW, the chairman of the Youth Committee A.Vanichkin pointed out the necessity of creating a system of work with the youth of the nuclear industry and consolidating the efforts of the youth organizations of the RTUNW in the field of work with information.

Representatives of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh) made reports on the priorities of the youth policy and its reflection in the media space.

The youth activists showed high interest in the reports. The head of the Information Department of the CC of the RTUNW S.Sachkova told the audience how to write articles and how to present materials for publication in different mass media.

The honorary president of the International Association of Young Nuclear Workers A.Lependin presented the experience of the association in organizing internet-space for informal communication among young nuclear workers.

The deputy director general of the Press Center of the Nuclear Power Energy A.Tikhonov, the director of the Redkaya Marka marketing company A.Popov and the representative of Atominfo independent information portal A.Uvarov spoke about the goals and methods of work in the internet and the blogophere.

In conclusion the chairman of the regional Youth Committee Y.Sidorov presented the concept of AtomConsult internet portal.

This resource is supposed to bring together in the internet the youth committee of Moscow and Moscow region and, in case of successful work, all youth organizations of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation.

The final section of the seminar concerned the development of educational program to be carried out by youth moderators at their companies. Based on the reports of the head of the Corporate Management department of SCICET M.Kandalova and the senior specialists M.Mashina concerning the key competences of information specialists, the participants in the seminar drafted a training program for information workers, which will be tested in practice in Mar 2009.

The resolution adopted by the participants in the seminar points out the lack of system work and coordination in the field of information support and the shortage of qualified specialist. The real ways-out of this situation might be the organization of a unified information internet portal, the training of representatives of youth organizations at SCICET and the more active organizational work of youth committees in the field of information support.
