EuroChem Resumes Supplies to Byelorussia
OREANDA-NEWS. On 05 March 2009 was announced, that for the first time since commencement of the crisis Byelorussia acquires mineral fetilizers from the Company.
OJSC MCC EuroChem will supply to agriculture of Byelorussia by the spring seeding season up to 100 thousand tons of ammophos and 50 thousand tons of ammonium nitrate. For the first time since the commencement of the economic crisis Byelorussia acquires mineral fertilizers from MCC EuroChem. In addition, the total volume of this supply (150 thousand tons) is almost equal to the total volume of supplies of fertilizers from EuroChem to Byelorussia over the entire 2008 (160 thousand tons).
The first supply to Byelorussia will amount to 37 thousand tons of ammophos produced by LLC “Industrial Group “Phosphorite” – subsidiary of the company in Kingisepp of the Leningrad Region. Since the volume of this supply approximates the monthly indicator of production volume of “Phosphorite” the enterprise is provided with a market for sale of core products for the nearest future. Ammonium nitrate will be supplied from the subsidiary of EuroChem in Novomoskovsk of the Tula Region – OJSC NAK “Azot”.
Byelorussia is one of the most important markets for sale of products of OJSC MCC EuroChem. In 2008 160 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers of the company have been exported which constitutes 11.4% of the total volume of supplies of products of MMC EuroChem to markets of Russia and CIS countries.
