OREANDA-NEWS. March 3, 2009. The regional authorities submitted an application on consideration of the possibility of connection to the networks of IDGC of North-West.

The administration of the Novgorod Region turned to Novgorodenergo, a branch of IDGC of North-West, JSC, with the request to connect Krechevitsy airdrome to the networks of the company for flights of civil air vessels for the Great Novgorod. The settlement capacity of connection is 1,600 kW.

After major repair Krechevitsy Novgorod airdrome of joint basing will be able to accept all types of military and civil planes. The runway of the airdrome of the Air Forces of the Russian Federation will become longer by 500m; workers will replace radio and lighting equipment and construct an aerostation complex with access roads and necessary infrastructure.

It is planned to complete the repair of the airdrome in 2009 by celebratory events devoted to the 1150th  anniversary of Veliky Novgorod.
