OREANDA-NEWS. On 02 March 2009 was announced, that the best Russian employers of the year 2008 were granted rewards in Moscow at the third annual ceremony of award of the Prize "HR-Brand". By results of the competition the company "Lenta" was awarded the silver prize in the nomination "Regional Project"

The competition took place in three stages. At the first stage questioning of the competitors was organized with the purpose to outline their preferences, as concerns the companies taking the leading positions in the Russian market. In this year 30 000 competitors took place in the questioning. By results of the first stage all the nominees who gained the passing grade in vote pass to the second stage where the expert council chooses the best projects of the nominees (no more than 10 finalists in 4 nominations). At the third stage of competition the strict jury chooses the winners.

Depending on the scope of realization of the project, the prize is awarded in four nominations (Local project, Regional project, Federal project and International project) and marks the achievements in formation of HR-Brand and development of the corporate culture, as concerns working with the image of the company as an employer.

In 2007 the company "Lenta" made itself known at the competition "HR-Brand", presenting its projects to the jury in the sphere of work with personnel - "Corporate University" and "Lenta-Career".

In 2008 "Lenta" presented a project "Introductory training of cashiers" for competition. In the last 4 years 11 000 persons had "Introductory training of cashiers" in the company "Lenta"!

"The victory in such prestigious competition is the recognition of our work, of efficiency of the policy of personnel management in the company. Today more than 12 000 employees work in "Lenta" in 16 cities of Russia. All the regions are dissimilar, differing from each other by traditions, culture of consumption. The priority task of the personnel service is to join all the employees in one team and to inculcate our values, mission, corporate standards in the area from Siberia up to Krasnodar. The victory in the competition is also the recognition of the company "Lenta" as a reputable employer in the labour market, and this fact is not less important for us. Today "Lenta" is the only retail company-winner of the prize "HR-Brand" within the framework of the Regional project, - comments Irina Berlizova, Human Resources Director

In the nomination "Regional project" the victory was shared with "Lenta" by the companies "Intel" (1st prize), and "Absolute Bank" (3rd prize).

Many well-known companies took part in the competition: "Real", "Evroset" [Euronetwork], "Globus Gurme", cellular communication operators, logistics, production and other companies. All together 76 companies from 12 cities of Russia presented their projects for the competition.
