OREANDA-NEWS. On 02 March 2009 was announced, that Switzerland embassy in Astana will start its work from March 10.

Also it was informed on Monday that the general consulate of Switzerland in Almaty stops its work on Wednesday, February 25.

It is mentioned that “the competence of Switzerland embassy in Astana territorially includes Kazakhstan and Tajikistan”.

“The embassy will realize all the spectrum of responsibilities including the procurement of Schengen visas for the citizens of both states”, it is said in the message.

According to the information “beginning with February 26 and till March 6, 2009 citizens of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan that wish to get EU visas to Switzerland must address to the embassy of the Federative Republic of Germany in Astana. It will represent Switzerland and be engaged in procurement of visas during the mentioned above period”.
