OREANDA-NEWS  On 02 March was announced, that Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko commissioned to create a working group with participation of experts of the Ministry of Fuel and Energy and Ministry of Housing and Communal Service that will control the situation in Luhansk, connected with the cutting-off of electric power to Luhanskvoda company on February 26. Minister of Fuel and Energy Yuriy Prodan told a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers.

At the same time, according to him, the Government will appeal to the Office of Public Prosecutor and profile controlling units for energy supply that the local authorities excluded the repetition of such situations.

The Minister also informed that already today he would send a letter to energy companies providing the social sphere of cities concerning the special provisions of work. And next week, according to Yuriy Prodan, the Ministry of Fuel and Energy will hold a meeting with participation of the Ministry of Housing and Communal Service and heads of the energy supplying companies to discuss the situation and develop the necessary mechanisms preventing destabilization in the cities’ vital activity.

In his turn Minister of Housing and Communal Service Oleksiy Kucherenko proposed to create a relevant working group in Kyiv “to respond in advance and prevent the development of such situation in Kyiv”. According to him, the Kyivvodokanal’s indebtedness to the Kyivenergo totaling 450mln hryvnias today.
