OREANDA-NEWS  On 27 February was announced, that the Press Service of the Azerbaijan National Bank states that 140 credit organizations had license in order to carry out bank operations till January 1 in 2009 year. 94 of them are non-bank credit organizations. 46 banks had license in the Republic till January 1 in 2009 year, one of them is governmental, 46 are private banks.23 banks acted with the help of the foreign capital. Foreign capital consists of 50 % to 100% of regulation capital of 7 banks, and less of 50% of regulation capital of 14 banks. Local branches of foreign banks are 2. The numbers of local branches of the active banks were 567. 37 of them were governmental, but 530 were private banks. The numbers of banks having local branches are 38, but the numbers of bank departments are 99. The numbers of bank structures acted abroad are 9. 6of them are representative, 2 are derivatives and others are branches.
