OREANDA-NEWS  On 27 February was announced, that in 2009, Metrowagonmash (MWM, the city of Mytishchi, the Moscow Region), will deliver 40 cars of RA-2 rail buses, model 750.05-20 (with smooth body), to the JSC Russian Railways.

In late January MWM made the first delivery of a three-car RA-2 train to the customer this year.

The deliveries are conducted under a contract concluded between MWM and RZD in January 2009. According to the contract MWM has undertaken a commitment to sent 13 three-car RA-2 trains of the 750.05-20 model and one intermediate car (in total 40 cars: 26 head cars and 14 intermediate cars) to the customer this year. The rail buses will be operational with the Moscow, South-Eastern, North-Caucasian, South-Ural, Northern, Kaliningrad, Kuibyshev, and Gorkov railways of Russia.

It is noteworthy that the RA-2 rail buses have been manufactured at the Mytishchi plant since 2006. As of today they are successfully operating in Russia, Ukraine, and Lithuania.
