OREANDA-NEWS. On 27 February 2009 was announced, that the first sitting of anti-crisis working group has taken place today in JSC “Far Eastern Generating Company”. The working group under the leadership of the General Director Valery LEVIT is established for preservation of stability of energy company in the condition of negative influence on it of the sequences of the global financial and economic crisis. The participants of anti-crisis working group are all Deputy General Directors of JSC “FEGC” on the profiles of activity of the energy company.

JSC “FEGC” has already faced with the first alarm demonstrations of the crisis: decreasing the volumes of payments of the consumers of electric and heat power, raise of number of non-solvent customers, continuing raise of prices for fuel and materials, and also difficulties with attracting credit resources and abrupt increase of credit interest rates.

Thus, in December 2008 the customers failed to pay for heat power over 400 million roubles, while traditionally the energy company is collecting in December not only current payments, but also the considerable amounts for previous periods debts. This tendency has continued in January 2009: the customers have paid only 57% of supplied by JSC “FEGC” power.

“Still, the most important task of JSC “Far Eastern Generating Company” is remaining the provision of reliable and non-stop supply of bona fide customers, even in conditions of crisis. That is why the operation of working group should be aimed at prevention of the violent worsening of the financial and economic state of JSC “FEGC”, the consequence of which could be the threat of energy security of the far eastern region”, - stressed Valery Levit..

All members of the anti-crisis working group are assigned instructions for working out the programs, aimed at energy company expenses minimization while preservation of its stable operation. Investment, repair programs, program of renovation and reconstruction of the energy sites will be carried out under constant supervision of the anti-crisis working group. At the same time, the JSC “FEGC” is intended to fulfill all its abligations in front of counter agents and partners.
