Future Belongs to Peaceful Nuclear Energy
OREANDA-NEWS. February 26, 2009. The discussion was organized with the support of Angarsk Electrolysis Chemical Complex (AECC) and the representative of the Small Nuclear Academy in Angarsk, the Rosatom-Class of school #2. Seniors from five local schools took part in the debates.
They demonstrated their knowledge in the field of peaceful use of nuclear energy, particularly, the economics, ecology and safety of nuclear power plants. They had to provide arguments in support of their positions and to prove that nuclear energy had to be developed.
The jury comprised representatives of the local administration, higher educational institutions and AECC. The best team and speakers were granted special prizes.
School #2 won the first place, school #10 – the second, school #4 – the third. The children thanked the organizers of the event and pointed out that such educational forums were useful to them and consolidated wide circles of schoolchildren.
