Atomenergoprom Attracts Young Specialists
OREANDA-NEWS. February 26, 2009. In the framework of its policy to attract young specialists into the nuclear industry, Atomenergoprom OJSC has opened on its official web-site (www.atomenergoprom.ru) special subsections for students and graduates of higher educational institutions. The pages contain information about opportunities to undergo practical training, to carry out own research and to find jobs with nuclear companies.
Here you can find specific practical training opportunities, vacancies and terms of employment with specific companies, download a list of subjects for own research and development,
Students and graduates of specialized universities may send their CVs for a unified database to be used by the personnel departments of Atomenergoprom companies.
“This is just the beginning of big work to attract young promising specialist into our industry. We are carrying out this program in close cooperation with our subsidiaries and Moscow Engineering Physics Institute. We have specific things to offer to young people now that many of them are failing to find jobs,” says Head of the Personnel Management Department of Atomenergoprom OJSC Sergey Puchka.

Atomenergoprom OJSC (Atomny Energopromyshleny Kompleks) is a state holding that is supposed to comprise 89 nuclear companies and to cover the whole range of nuclear services: from uranium mining to NPP construction and electricity production. Atomenergoprom’s companies will have a total of 175,000 employees and an annual production of 200bln RUR (5.5bln EUR). Atomenergoprom is one of the biggest players on the world market: it has a 40% share in the world’s uranium enrichment services, 17% in nuclear fuel production, 8% in uranium mining, 28% in NPP construction (10 reactors). The director of Atomenergoprom is Vladimir Travin, the chairman of the board of directors – Sergey Kiriyenko.
