OREANDA-NEWS  On 26 February was announced, that in February 2009, the Saratov and Samara branches of ROSNO’s Privolzhskaya Directorate paid private clients under MOD insurance contracts an insurance compensation of 1,284,000 roubles in total for stolen cars.

In Samara, the insured accident took place in the evening at the parking lot of a shop located in Leninsky district. The driver left his car, Toyota Camry, manufactured in 2003, for half an hour, only to discover upon returning that the vehicle had gone. The insurance amount equalled 582,000 roubles.

Another ROSNO’s private client received an insurance compensation of 702,000 roubles for the stolen vehicle Subaru Forester, made in 2006. The car was stolen in Moscow, near the subway station Kuzminki. At 9:00 a.m., the car owner left the car to travel by subway after getting stuck in a traffic jam. Upon returning in 3:00 p.m. to the parking place, he found that his car disappeared.

Criminal investigation of both of the aforementioned theft cases is under way.
