OREANDA-NEWS. On 24 February 2009 Gubakha Coke (Perm Territory), part of United Metallurgical Company (OMK), reported its operating results for January 2009.

Last month, Gubakha Coke produced 18 thousand tonnes of bulk coke and 3.2 thousand tonnes of pitch. The coke plan for January was implemented 100% and pitch plan - 92%. As compared with January 2008, the Company's coke and pitch output decreased by 24.4 thousand tonnes and 2.4 thousand tonnes respectively. The decrease in production was due to a low demand for the Company’s products caused by the global crisis.
