OREANDA-NEWS  On 24 February was announced, that Uzbek President Islam Karimov said that strengthening and improving quality of services of financial-banking system is important in context of global economic crisis.

President Islam Karimov said the decisions were approved on increasing capitalization of leading banks as Uzpromstroybank, Asakabank, Pakhtabank, Gallabank and others. He said the decree was adopted to increase charter capital of the Microcreditbank, which is credit center on financing of small business and private entrepreneurship.

In the result of attraction of additional resources to aggregate capital of the banks in Uzbekistan rose by 40% compared to 2007 and to double by 2010, the Uzbek leader said.

The assets of the bank exceeds twice compared to resources at the accounts of population and legal entities. This ensures reliable protection and guarantees full servicing of them. Uzbek President Islam Karimov said the government guarantees deposits at the banks fully.

Capital adequacy of banking system of Uzbekistan exceeds three times of the set international standards, which set by Basel Banking Committee.

Uzbek President Islam Karimov said aggregate liquidity of the banking system makes up USD 1.5 billion or 10 times higher compared to external non-state credits. This means the country do not have problem with liquidity, he said.
