OREANDA-NEWS  On 20 February was announced, that prices in industry in Moldova went down 1.1 percent in January 2009 against those in December 2008.

According to the National Statistics Bureau, they reduced by 0.1 percent compared to January 2008. In particular, prices in extractive industry in January 2009 decreased by 2.2 percent in comparison with December 2008, and rose by 2.4 percent in comparison with January 2008. In processing industry, prices reduced by 1.2 percent in January 2009 against December 2008 and by 2.1 percent against January 2008. Prices in the energy sector in January 2009 remained on the level of December 2008 but grew by 42.8 percent if compared to the last year’s January.
