OREANDA-NEWS  On 20 February was announced, that Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev received Shell CEO Jeroen van der Veer. The issues on perspective directions for the development of oil and gas sector of Kazakhstan’s economy and participation of Shell in the Kashagan and Zhemchuzhina (Pearl) oil fields development projects were discussed during the meeting.

“We discussed the situation in the oil and gas sector during the global financial crisis and joint measures to be taken for resolving the crisis,” Jeroen van der Veer said at a press briefing.
