OREANDA-NEWS  On 20 February was announced, that OJSC “Agroinvestbank”, during the annual meeting of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London which held on January 19th, 2009 was awarded by EBRD as the Most Active Bank in Tajikistan on Trade Finance-2008.

This is the forth award that OJSC “Agroinvestbank” has received from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development within its Trade Facilitation Programme since 2005. Along with being just an active bank  in 2005, we were honored the award for the most active bank in regional trading in 2006 and 2007.

Trade Facilitation Programme of EBRD was launched in 1999 with a purpose to develop the international trade among CIS countries and South-Eastern Europe. Within the framework of the above-mentioned programme, EBRD provides guarantees to confirming banks in order to minimize political and commercial risks in various trading areas. Overall, 115 bank issuing banks in 19 countries are working through the EBRD Trade Finance Programme. Moreover, 650 confirming banks around the world are involved in this programme.
