OREANDA-NEWS. On 19 February 2009 was announced, that thirteen best power specialists-sportsmen of IDGC of Centre of eleven branches of the Company participate in The I All-Russia Winter Games of Power Specialists in the distribution grid complex.

The Sports Games organized by IDGC Holding, take place from 17 February to 20 February in Stupino area of Moscow region ("Zarya" vacation hotel). The program includes team and individual championships. Power industry sportsmen compete in skiing, swimming, table tennis, and chess.

Over 50 thousand employees of the distribution grid companies all over the country took part in the selection competitions of the Games. According to their results, the combined teams were organized which will defend their companies in the final round.

The IDGC of Centre's team was finally generated 10 days ago in Belgorod city, where the strongest and dexterous power specialists of the interregional distribution grid company competed with each other on the basis of Svetlana Horkina's Training and Sports Complex. Thirteen best sportsmen were selected as a result.

"During the Games of IDGC of Centre, all participants and visitors have felt the spirit of a real struggle among the company's branches," Deputy General Director for Personnel Management and Organizational Development Dmitry Aleshin said. "It is very important that the Games not only marked the strongest, but also enabled to become aware of being a single entity that is a team of IDGC of Centre, JSC. Now our united team will confidently strive for a victory on the all-Russia level. We shall be fans of each sportsman!".

The action promises to be a real spectacle: each team has distinctive clothes, emblem, and flag. Over 200 sportsmen in the structure of 13 teams will participate in The I All-Russia Winter Games of Power Specialists: IDGC of Centre, JSC; IDGC of North-West, JSC; IDGC of Urals, JSC; IDGC of Siberia, JSC; IDGC of Centre and Volga Region, JSC; IDGC of North Caucasus, JSC; IDGC of Volga, JSC; IDGC of South, JSC; JSC “MOESK”, JSC “Tiumenenergo”, JSC Lenenergo, JSC “Yantarenergo”, and a team of the Executive Office of JSC “IDGC Holding”.

The participants who take prize-winning places in individual championships will be awarded the medals and diplomas, and those who occupy the first places will be awarded souvenirs. The teams who occupy the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places will be awarded cups and diplomas, and their participants will be awarded the medals.

From now on the IDGC Holding Games will be held twice a year - in summer and in winter, preceded by selection rounds. The organization and carrying out of selection competitions and The I All-Russia Winter Sports Games of Power Specialists of the distribution grid complex is a part of the national project "Health" promoting the healthy way of life of Russian people.
