In particular, the head of state stressed the importance of the development of social infrastructure, transport and housing, the development of mineral resources and support for small and medium businesses.

Dmitry Medvedev noted that the Trans-Baikal region is a crucial source of minerals that are of strategic importance to Russia's economy: uranium, copper, tungsten and molybdenum.
