OREANDA-NEWS  On 19 February was announced, that at its sitting the Government has approved a series of resolutions in connection with holding spring-field works. Yulia Tymoshenko, Prime Minister of Ukraine, announced to a media conference.

“Today with its ordinances the Government has approved a series of mechanisms, that are to ensure financing of agricultural producers, agrarians from the Agrarian Fund, which the Government set up the previous year and which has 2.5 billion hryvnyas,” Yulia Tymoshenko explained.

According to the Head of the Government, this month from the Agrarian Fund UAH 1 bn 300 mn will be earmarked for the spring-field works, with the sum of UAH 2 bn in March. Yulia Tymoshenko underlined a decision on purchase of last year’s yield from villagers and on forward purchases had also been taken. The Prime Minister stressed, such contracts can be concluded from Monday as all the approved decisions will come in force tomorrow.

Yulia Tymoshenko imparted that the Government will provide villagers and farmer’s economies with diesel fuel at available prices – 4200 UAH per ton. Respective understandings already exist with Kremenchuk refinery.

The Premier added support will be rendered to small farms also. Yulia Tymoshenko informed about her appeal to the VR Budget Committee to direct the part of funds, which is UAH 200 mn, from the Stabilization Fund to back farmer’s economies.

“It means we will have an opportunity to support farmer’s economies,” the Head of Government said.
