OREANDA-NEWS On 18 February 2009 was announced, that Motor Sich OJSC (PFTS: MSICH) to supply TV3-117 for Mi-17-1V helicopters to be built by Russia under the long-term contract for supply of 80 multi-purpose Mi-17 to the Indian Air Forces.

Meanwhile, according to the Ukrainian company, Motor Sich is now providing with its engines all export orders for Mi-17 supply.

The first shipments of engines to the Russia-based Kazan Helicopters are scheduled for the second half of 2009.

The contract for supply of 80 multi-purpose Mi-17 for Indian Air Forces was signed by Russia last December. The total amount of the contract valid till 2014 is estimated at USD 660 mn.

The orders portfolio of Motor Sich in 2009 amounts to USD 450 mn. The expected growth of helicopters engines export to Russia in 2009 is expected at the level of about 20%.
