OREANDA-NEWS On 18 February 2009 was announced, that the Conference of the labour collective took place in JSC Irkutskenergo, which summed up the collective agreement performance for 2007-2008 and approved the collective agreement for 2009-2011.

During 2007 and 2008, the wages were indexed quarterly according to an index of growth of consumer prices in the Russian Federation. A growth of wages in 2008 equaled 28.6% in comparison with 2007. In 2009, a growth of the salary in relation to the year 2008 is planned to equal 12.3%. RUR113.6 from different sources million were spent on labour safety in 2008. Expenses for social privileges in 2008 amounted to 293.0 million, including RUR 48.8 million on non-state pension benefits of JSC Irkutskenergo's employees and RUR 6.6 million on payment for young specialists' apartment rent. The delegates of the conference recognized the collective agreement for 2007-2008 to be completely executed.

The document regulating mutual relations of the employer and employees for 2009-2011 keeps all privileges and guarantees which were stipulated in the collective agreement of 2007-2008. Speaking at the conference, the Company General Director Andrey Konovalov emphasized, "The Company was and remains the leader in the region with regard to production volumes, proceeds, tax payments, growth, authority and influence. I consider that at this stage the administration managed to keep the balance between interests of the labour collective and proprietors. The wages growth was preserved. Our priorities regarding the distribution of financial resources remained constant. Namely: ensuring payment of wages, full tax payments, provision of the Company current activities and reliability.
