Indonesian Foreign Minister Receives Uzbek Counterpart
OREANDA-NEWS On 17 February was announced, that Indonesia’s Foreign Minister Hassan Wirajuda on Thursday received a visit by his Uzbek counterpart Vladimir Norov in Jakarta. “Minister Norov’s courtesy call is to return my visit to Uzbekistan last year during an Indonesia-Uzbekistan joint commission meeting,” Hassan Wirajuda said.
The senior officials meeting (SOM) was aimed at strengthening the foundation of the two countries’ commitment to formulating concrete steps to increase bilateral cooperation between the two countries and evaluating cooperation documents that have been signed by the two countries.
“All the results of the SOM had been reported in a meeting of the Indonesia-Uzbekistan Joint Commission on 12 February,” he added.
The agreed minutes of the SOM were also signed here by Foreign Ministry Director General of Asia, Pasific, and Africa Affairs Hamzah Thayeb and Uzbek First deputy minister of foreign economic relations, investment and trade Nasriddin Najimov.
