OREANDA-NEWS. February 17, 2009. There was created a new department in the structure of OJSC Transsiberian Reinsurance Corporation – the Expert council, the main task of which will be the development of reinsurance projects jointly with the company’s directors. Apart from that the Expert council will update the existing in Transsiberian Re internal regulatory documents and trace the changes in the international reinsurance practice and introduce necessary changes in the Corporation activities.

Sergey S. Ivanov, who has recently come to work in Transsiberian Re is appointed the Chairman of the Expert council. In 1964 Sergey Ivanov graduated from Bauman Moscow State Technological University with a specialization in mechanical engineering. After graduating from the MSTU he worked as lecturer in Chair, than in the specialized laboratory. He finished the postgraduate course and is the Ph. D. of Technics. In 1974-1978 he was sent to Annaba (Algeria) to head the department of technical mechanics in the local university. From 1978 to 1994 he was associate professor of Chair in Bauman MSTU.     

Since 1994 he was active in the insurance: first, in the MESCO insurance company, than – ROSNO. From 1995 to 2008 he was a deputy General Director of ROSNO where he was responsible for the sales development and the creation of new products of the property insurance. At the same time he administered in ROSNO reinsurance.

Sergey Ivanov published 130 scientific and methodological printing works in insurance and reinsurance, besides he is the author of the books, articles and innovations in mechanics. He is famous for the introduction of actuarial calculations and risk management in the industrial insurance practice. He has a great number of government awards and is price-winner 2007 of “Golden Salamander” as one of the authors of “Theory and practice of risk insurance”.
