Kazakh Government Will Rent Empty Apartments in Capital
OREANDA-NEWS. On 16 February 2009 was announced, that they are considering the issue about the rent of empty apartments in the capital. This was said by the minister of industry and trade Vladimir Shkolnik at the government session.
“In Astana 18 objects of share construction are financed through “Samruk-Kazyna” fund according to the approved schedule. But today it is difficult to attract share holders money and return credits received by developers. This problem is characteristic for the entire construction sphere”, said V.Shkolnik. “To solve this problem akimat is intended to provide these objects with privileged mortgage of 10.5% per annum during I, II quarter of this year together with developers, “Damu”, “Samruk-Kazyna” funds ”,- he continued.
“We think me to solve this problem we can use the experience of “Vek” corporation in Almaty. This company rents about 50 apartments that were not sold and this way they support its financial welfare. As a rule these are empty apartments in houses that must be maintain, heated, etc.”, said V.Shkolnik. Today there are 43.6 thousand share holders in the republic including 23.8 thousand in Astana, 12.6 thousand in Almaty.
