Shcherbinka Will Be Completed in 2009
OREANDA-NEWS. On 13 February 2009 was announced, that about 220,000 square metres of housing are to be erected in Butovo and Shcherbinka townships of southwest Moscow in 2009, Aleksandr Kosovan, head of Moscow's Urban Development Department, told journalists on February 7.
“We calculate Shcherbinka jointly with Butovo township. It results more than 220,000 square metres of housing. This is already the end. We are completing Shcherbinka and Butovo. Only offices and consumer services are to be developed in four neighbourhoods being built within Shcherbinka. Besides, a long-expected clinic is to appear in Shcherbinka this year,” the official noted.
It was also specified that two clinics, one for children and one for adults, as well as a school and kindergartens and, of course, dwelling houses were to be built. In total, over 600,000 square metres of housing are to be raised in Shcherbinka during the whole development.
Mr Kosovan emphasized that Shcherbinka would be completed in 2009.
According to the head of Moscow's Urban Development Department, Shcherbinka and Butovo are also to be provided with parking garages. The sites allocated for car parks will start being developed in February or early March. All the facilities are to be commissioned by the end of 2009.
It is intended to erect six garage complexes in Shcherbinka and one more – in Butovo. Their total capacity is estimated to be approximately 3,500 parking places.
