Meeting of Technical Directors of Kazakhtelecom Branches Held
OREANDA-NEWS. February 10, 2009. In Almaty on the basis of CTC "Almatytelecom" held a meeting of technical directors of JSC “Kazakhtelecom” branches. The meeting summed up the results of the technical unit in 2008, and also identifies new challenges in 2009. As the Chief Technical Director of JSC "Kazakhtelecom” Alexander Lezgovko mentioned the most important areas of improvement are the main production processes and improving the quality of telecommunications networks, reported the press-centre of Kazakhtelecom.
In 2008, under the developing National Information Super Mainline (NSM) completed the last of the NISM FOCL "Uralsk-Atyrau". Length of FOCL "Uralsk - Atyrau" is 523.7 km. The aim of the project is to provide high-quality digital-distance, international telephone population in the West region of the country and back-up channels of communication through the second ring NISM, which includes Aktobe, Atyrau and Uralsk cities.
Within the framework of the government prodram "30 corporate leaders of Kazakhstan" JSC "Kazakhtelecom" completed the construction of a backbone network of the new generation of inter-NGN (Next Generation Networks). As you know, JSC "Kazakhtelecom" became the first operator in the CIS, implemented in early 2007, the transfer distance communications networks throughout the country for technology NGN. During 2007, were put into operation, local NGN networks in the following cities: Astana, Almaty, Karaganda, Pavlodar, Taraz and Taldykorgan.
Since then, during the 2008 the NGN network was set in operation in the following cities: Petropavlovsk, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Semipalatinsk and Shymkent. Until the end of the year is scheduled to begin construction work on NGN in the Atyrau, Almaty and Aktobe cities.
Also as part of the government program "30 corporate leaders of Kazakhstan" JSC "Kazakhtelecom" is implementing breakthrough project "Modernization and development of rural telecommunications networks using technology CDMA". The digital standard for wireless CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) allows villages provide with telephone services through wireless technologies. This breakthrough project is realizing since the beginning of 2008, by a subsidiary company of JSC "Kazakhtelecom" "Vostoktelecom"Ltd.. During 2008 year was installed 229 base stations in 12 areas.
Within the framework of the Goverment Program of Development of Rural Areas for 2004-2010, in 2008, providing with telephone systems was completed in all rural areas.
JSC "Kazakhtelecom" focuses on the development of new services, based on the IP-solutions. Among them - the interactive digital television services to IP TV, and SIP-telephony. With this project the company launched a strategy to provide services through a single channel of the broadband access on a "three-in-one" - Triple Play. The main components are the Triple Play: Internet access, telephony services and IPTV.
