OREANDA-NEWS. On 12 February 2009 was announced, that in the JSC “Far Eastern Generating Company” (JSC “FEGC”) had been summed up the action “The Year of Health Protection of Energy Employees”, which was carried out for entire year 2008. The results are turned to be very positive. Despite the fact that energy sector is considered to be one of the most dangerous spheres of professional activity, in the last year in the JSC “FEGC” there have been managed to reduce the number of production accidents down to four.

In order to come at positive changes in the sphere of labour safety in the production of electric and heat power (this, surely, influences on the reliability of power supply of the customers) in JSC “FEGC” there were carried out a row of efficient actions. For this purpose there were invested in 1.8 times more funds than in 2007 – around Roubles 13 thousand per one employee.

Within the frame of the action, at the CHPPs of the Company daily during the entire 2008 was carried out the pre-shift examination of operational personnel. The evaluation of physical state allowed reduce the number of accidents, which could happen at any production through the human being fault. Profound medical examinations and timely treatment of detected sicknesses allowed reduce general sickness rate of the employees, losses their employability.

We should note, that happened in the last time natural rejuvenation of the personnel in JSC “FEGC” is favourably influenced on reduce of the rate of professional sickness in the energy company. Nevertheless, so called “vibrosicknesses”, evidences of which are alfactory bradyacuasia, encephalon vasoconstriction and even osteochondrosis of vertebral column, are remained the whip for energy employees. Inevitably high rate of noise and vibration at the CHPP’s shops, without proper prophylaxis, could lead to appearance and development of the health problems.

In this connection in the energy Company there were carried out monitoring of periodical prophylactic examination. It allowed detection of risk groups by professional sickness and timely carry out the functional rehabilitation of the employees. In the future plans there are carrying out the examination attracting the scientific institution on the basis of one of electric power stations of the Company, which will allow further maximal efficient cope with professional sicknesses at the personnel of JSC “FEGC”.

Nowadays in the energy company there is completing the working out the actions, aimed at further improvements in the sphere of safety of the power production. According to opinion of Deputy General Director of JSC “Far Eastern Generating Company” Zinaida KRAVTSOVA, attention to personnel labour protection should be systematic, only that time it will give the desired result – the health, high employability of energy specialists, confidence in their fulfillment of production tasks, and, respectively, stability in supply of the Far Easteners with heat and light.
