OREANDA-NEWS. On 12 February 2009 was announced, that forty-nine modern parking facilities are to be erected in Moscow, especially in the areas of mass housing development, at the expense of the city budget funds in 2009.

As it was reported at a session aimed at approving the construction documents for social and cultural objects which are being developed in Moscow at the expense of the city budget funds, the total number of parking places in the car parks to be built will be 17,650.

In particular, it is planned to raise car parks in neighbourhoods 1, 3, 4 within Shcherbinka township, neighbourhoods 1, 4, 9 within Severny township, block 20 within Kuntsevo township, neighbourhood 1-2 within Fili-Davydkovo township, neighbourhood 4 within Beskudnikovo township, neighbourhood 4 within Northern Tushino township, neighbourhoods 7, 8, 9 within Northern Medvedkovo township, neighbourhood 15 within Maryinsky Park township and neighbourhoods 8, 20 within Zelenograd located in the outskirts of Moscow.

Among the stated objects are mostly detached overground and underground parking garages with various numbers of storeys.

The documents for the projected car parks are scheduled to be prepared by the end of April 2009.
