OREANDA-NEWS. February 12, 2009. The delegation of the Netherlands Development Finance Company led by Mr. Jurgen Rigterink arrived in the Turkmen capita.

During the visit the Dutch delegation held the talks at the Central Bank of Turkmenistan. During the meeting the priority trends in the policy of the Turkmen state were presented to the guests. The guests showed keen interest in the information on the ongoing financial and banking reforms including denomination of the national currency unit.

The talks focused on the opportunities to cooperate in the investment sphere. Netherlands Development Finance Company ranks among Europe’s largest financial institutions and actively contributes to financing investment projects. The guests said that the open door policy and favouable investment climate in Turkmenistan made collaboration in this field quite promising. The guests showed intense interest in collaborating in the projects on private sector development.

The Dutch delegation held the talks at the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy and Development.

The guests from the Netherlands will attend the ceremony of opening the exhibition Flowers – the Envoys of Peace.
