OREANDA-NEWS. On 11 February 2009 was announced, that Belarus’ privately-owned OOO Tabak-Invest, based in Minsk, produced 6.749 billion cigarettes in January-December 2008, up 3.8% on the year, an official with the company told.

Winston brand output amounted to 3.018 billion cigarettes, up 0.4% on the year, which included 2.454 billion Winston Lights cigarettes, up 3.9% on the year, 357 million Winston Classic cigarettes, up 8 times, 40 million Winston One cigarettes, down 38.6%, and 167 million Winston Super Lights cigarettes, down 23.7%.

Monte Carlo output was at 2.09 billion units, of them 1.44 billion Monte Carlo Light cigarettes, up 3.5% and 8.5%, respectively.

Tabak-Invest makes Magna, Monte Carlo, More, Winston and Camel brands under contracts with JT International (JTI) and West brand under a license agreement with Reemtsma.

Tabak-Invest has an output quota of 6.5 billion cigarettes in 2009, down 3.7% year-on-year.
