OREANDA-NEWS. February 11, 2009. The head of the Chemical Department of Balakovo NPP Sergey Galkin has become laureate of “Engineer of the Year 2008” All-Russian Competition in Professional Engineers nomination.

The senior engineers of the Electric Department and the Thermal Automation and Measurements Department Aleksey Avdotin and Valery Felde have been granted awards in Young Engineers nomination.

The awarding ceremony will take place in Moscow at the Union of Scientific and Engineering Non-governmental Organizations on the eve of the Day of the Defender of Fatherland.

The winners of the first preliminary round of the contest – the head of laboratory Alexander Garmahov, the shift manager of the Turbine Department Alexander Vetrenko, the senior engineer of the Nuclear Safety Department Andrey Zazharnov, senior engineer Sergey Ivannikov, the head of laboratory Yevgeny Ilyichev, the shift manager of the Reactor department Igor Telyatnikov, the senior inspector Alexander Tamyshev and some other employees of Balakovo NPP will be granted certificates and “Professional Engineer of Russia” badges.

The senior engineers of the Reactor Department 1 Yuri Kornev and Sergey Shklyayev are the winners of the first round in the Young Engineers nomination.
