OREANDA-NEWS. February 09, 2009. During the shut-down period normal repair and maintenance works have been finished and also two new stations for air-conditioning and engine cooling system filling have been prepared in General Assemble, reported the press-centre of GM-AVTOVAZ. 

Besides, all works for rebalancing of conveyor line, including the distribution of operations by station, documents update, and installation of additional "Body in White" preparation station, that are necessary for production of Facelift Chevrolet Niva , has been carried out.

GM-AVTOVAZ is planning to test new colors in February, dark-brown — "The Wild Plum", and dark green — "Meridian". The new colors will be introduced at the same time as the launch of the new version of Chevrolet Niva.

The plant inventory has been reduced in preparation for the Facelift launch.

Due to the to the current market conditions and the near term business outlook, CJSC GM- AVTOVAZ will be adjusting it?s production plans for 2009.

Starting from today, the conveyor of JV is move to a one-shift operation (5 days per week, 8 hours per day).
